FAQs

Do I need planning permission?

Not usually, although there are some specific criteria regarding the site of your proposed garden office location. Planning permission may be necessary if you live in a conservation area, a National Park, an area of outstanding natural beauty, or the Broads. See our garden office planning permission page for further information.

What's included in the price?

The office, as well as full electrics, highly effective insulation, and our professional installation are all included in our standard price. The only other essential expenditure would be a delivery charge and the cost of electrical connection.

Delivery costs fluctuate according to UK location and in some cases may even be free of charge; more information can be found in our free brochure.

Do I need a big garden?

Garenbergs come in four sizes to suit a range of needs and preferences. Even in a very small garden the generously proportioned windows reflect a considerable amount of light and help create a subtly spacious and airy building that belies the relatively small area it actually occupies thereby adding an exciting and individual focal point to your garden.

Are Garenberg offices secure?

Garenberg garden offices are designed and engineered with security high on the list of priorities. The sturdy structure construction over is 110mm thick. The UPVc windows and doors used in our garden buildings have steel reinforcements and are endorsed by Secured by Design. All windows have locking handles.

Do I need a foundation?

A simple slab or concrete foundation will provide a solid base keeping your garden office in great shape for years to come. Alternatively our own hassle free foundation service option provides an excellent alternative to laborious DIY or the bother of getting builders in. As with everything at Garenberg our foundation option is very cost competitive. Please see our brochure for further details.

How do I get communications to the office?

The cheapest and simplest way to facilitate communications is to use a wireless broadband modem. This offers a secure connection and can also include phone and fax services without needing to run cables into your garden office.
